2. Why results vary
Each model has different training data, context windows, reasoning style, and safety behavior. The same prompt may produce different — yet still useful — outputs across models.
3. Choosing a model
Pick the model that fits the task. Stronger reasoning and longer documents favor frontier models; quick drafting and conversational tasks suit smaller, faster models. Where in doubt, run the prompt on two models and compare.
4. Versioning
AI providers update their models frequently. A prompt that worked yesterday may behave differently today. Treat prompts as living documents and refine them when you notice drift.
